Spiritual Life
Fostering each student's personal and spiritual growth is a primary goal of the school. The school offers religion courses that develop students' minds and hearts with a foundation of church doctrine. The extensive Campus Ministry program provides retreats at all grade levels, school-wide liturgies and prayer opportunities, and a variety of service programs. It is the mission of the school to provide effective religious education that will make a difference in our students' lives now and throughout their lives.

Retreats
Retreats are an integral part of our Campus Ministry Program. These programs are led by members of the faculty and trained student leaders. The program encourages students to explore questions of personal faith, build community, and have prayer experiences appropriate for adolescents. Each student is required to participate in an annual retreat.

On-Campus Prayer Services
A student liturgy committee plans several school-wide liturgies throughout the year. The entire student body, faculty and alumni participate in liturgies marking Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. Seniors and their parents are invited to a graduation liturgy which celebrates and welcomes them into the alumni family.

Eucharistic Ministers
Seniors who are Catholics are invited to participate in a diocesan training program for Eucharistic Ministers. These students minister to the sick at local hospitals, and they also serve as Eucharistic ministers at school liturgies and in their parishes.

Serving the Community
Students volunteer to help the elderly at the Caribbean American Family Health Center. During Thanksgiving our students volunteer at the C.H.I.P.S. Soup Kitchen and collect cans of food and non perishables. Students also volunteer at the 61st and 78th Precinct's assisting the auxiliary police officers.

Community Service
The Nazareth Regional High School Volunteer Program requires each student to complete 50 hours of community service by graduation. The goal of this program is to deepen the students' personal development through increasing self-awareness, nurturing self actualization and confidence, and encouraging them to be responsible. Our students volunteer at St. Catherine of Genoa, St. Edmund's, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Jude, St. Vincent Ferrer, St. Theresa of Lisieux, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Holy Family elementary schools providing after-school tutoring and recreation for the children.
