The Courses
At Nazareth, students will receive an education that will allow them to gain admission to the most competitive and prestigious colleges and universities. Students may take Advanced Placement courses in a variety of subjects; participate in our award-winning Fine Arts program which features a Band, instrument instruction, as well as advanced art training; take basic and advanced technology courses that feature everything from word processing to web design and programming; select from an array of challenging electives such as psychology, black studies, child development, pre-med, calculus, physics, marine biology, and inter-disciplinary and cultural courses. Our religion program gives students the opportunity to participate in leadership training, retreats, and requires all students to perform service. Nazareth is proud of its technology center, which offers various Microsoft certifications at the high school level. Admission to Nazareth is based on the T.A.C.H.S. Exam or a private test administered by the Admissions Office.

  • Honors and Advanced Classes: English and Mathematics
  • Remedial Courses: Grammar and Composition
  • Technology: Nazareth was the second high school in New York to offer advanced technical programs to students as an elective. Currently there are several programs available that can lead to certification in Cisco Networking and Microsoft Certification. This course of study provides an in-depth curriculum in networking and Microsoft technology. It gives students a strong foundation and diverse experience that will stay with them as they move from high school student to active community member and employee.
